Participating Centers

Ready Set Go helps early childhood education providers prepare children to enter kindergarten ready to learn.

Preparing children for Kindergarten is not an easy task. Participation in Ready Set Go…to Kindergarten make the job easier through collaboration with other local early childhood providers and the Elyria City School District. Participants agree to work toward improving and expanding quality at their center or school and are supported in this effort by the resource of Ready Set Go…to Kindergarten. These include marketing, linkage to professional development opportunities, assessment to determine center or school needs, and technical assistance to improve or maintain Step Up to Quality rating. Just as important as these tangible factors are the relationships that are being built among early childhood education providers and the school district. This serves as a mechanism for a smoother transition between preschool and primary education.

Recognizing that families have differing needs, there are a number of different types of participants in Ready Set Go…to Kindergarten.

From part-time traditional preschool programs to Head Start to full-time programs and programs for children with special needs we have a participating center that fits your need. There are several locations throughout Lorain County.
